Our Story

Lighthouse Christian Academy, formally known as Azalea Garden Christian School, was established in 1968.  

In the summer of 2011, the name Azalea Garden Christian School was change to Lighthouse Christian Academy (LCA).  We have been at this location for the past 55 years.  Having served in education for over fifty years, we know the challenges of teaching in a diverse society and meeting the individual needs of students.  Individualized programs are a must and that is exactly what we offer.  We know that the most important part of education is learning that "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom."  Respecting God and obeying Him will lead to our "studying to show ourselves approved unto God."  We teach that education is a privilege.  We must follow the example of Jesus as stated in Luke 2:52, "And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man."  We must continue to grow and study to be like Him. 

Our vision is to develop strong spiritual leaders that know how to integrate their faith into the world around them.  Daily devotions and chapel are part of the norm for LCA. 

We exist to give every parent the opportunity to educate their children in a Christian atmosphere.  The LCA staff has purposed in their hearts to help the families train their children in "The Way" they should go."
