 Our philosophy doesn’t come from what sounds good or from what other people are doing right now. Instead, our teacher-led, character-building philosophy comes from a biblical foundation—Proverbs 22:6a, “Train up a child in the way he should go.”

ABEKA is the curriculum used in Kindergarten through 5th grade. It is both Biblically and academically sound. Kindergarten classes begin reading with a strong phonics emphasis that is continued throughout the 1st grade. Handwriting and other fine motor skills are important facets. 

Cursive handwriting is introduced on the K-3 level. Other subjects include Mathematics, Science, Community Helpers/Social Studies, Poetry memory and recitation, Art, and in 1st Grade, Spelling, and History.

ABEKA emphasizes the importance of the home in the child’s education. Reading homework with parental involvement starts in K-3 and continues in the 1st grade. It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure that homework assignments are completed and returned on time.
